Abstract

The main content of the fundamental principles of the doctrine of "dark ecology" as one of the directions of posthumanism is revealed in the paper. The features of its ontological foundations aimed at rejecting anthropocentrism and rigid holism are demonstrated. The differ-
ence between the discourse of "dark ecology" and other areas of philosophical and ecological
thought is shown. The originality of understanding of ecological awareness is emphasized. The
peculiarities of the interpretation of the concept of ecological education in the works of the founder of this doctrine are shown. Attention is drawn to the desire demonstrated by the author of "dark ecology" to irrationalize the foundations of ecological consciousness in the context of
rejection of scientism and commitment to an environmentally oriented policy.
